Flower House Detroit Print
My illustrated reaction to the magical Flower House Detroit experience.
Detroit florist Lisa Waud of Pot & Box was the mastermind behind this one-weekend art installation in 2015 in an abandoned house in Hamtramck. Teaming up with florists from Michigan and across the country, the rooms were filled with American-grown fresh flowers and living plants creating a wonderland of flowers.
This an 11x14 high-quality digital print of my original pen and ink drawing that I added color to digitally. I print in my home studio on 100% cotton Epson fine art papers because they are beautifully textured, have substantial weight and the bright white surfaces make the colors rich and true. I use high density pigment inks that are long-lasting and highly fade and scratch resistant.
Signed, dated, then packed with care with acid-free backing board in archival cello bag and shipped in a rigid mailer.
